Laurent Chanez

Laurent’s widely-fêted “Unhate” campaign for Bennetton let him “see half of Prague kissing” and was featured at the 2013 TED conference.

Laurent started his work in film as an art director and graphic designer for clients such as The New York Times, MTV, Nike, and Ford.  He began directing shorts in 1999, the first of which, Forme, was an “official selection” at the Buenos Aires Film Festival and the Pantin-Paris Film Festival.

The recognition didn’t stop there and, when he ventured into commercial directing, neither did the praise. Laurent won multiple accolades for one of his earliest commercials, Kenzo, as well as a CFDA award for his Tommy Hilfiger spot with Beyonce.

His mark on the beauty world is not to be overlooked either, working with the brands like L’Oreal and Maybelline, and shooting various A-list celebrities.

Laurent is fluent in French and English. He divides his time between Paris, where all those years ago he studied graphic design, illustration, and photography at the ESAG Penninghen, and New York.

Laurent has an exclusive agreement with AKITA.
